New Zealand Overview
US Tariffs on New Zealand Exports
As you may have seen, President Trump has announced a new 10% tariff on all imports into the United States from New Zealand. This forms part of a wider package of tariffs now being rolled out globally.
Here’s what we know:
- A flat 10% tariff will apply to goods entering the US from New Zealand
- It’s on top of any existing tariffs
- It takes effect 5 April (6 April NZT)
- If your shipment arrives into the US after 5 April the 10% tariff applies
This will impact many of our customers who export into the US market, and we understand the concern around what this means commercially. Our Team is actively working through the implications, information remains fluid at this time and as more comes to light we will keep you informed. In the meantime, please reach out to your Key Account Manager should you have further questions/concerns.
